Our non-profit, CommunEcos, created the project in winter 2021. The house site has a small DIY greenhouse in back (sunny south side), several raised beds, a rain cube and rain barrels, dry storage shed. Our larger in-ground garden space is across the street. Also onsite: a rain garden, a tiny partly-lined pond and a productive pecan tree in front.

For educational use we have a dozen folding chairs, utility tables, easy-to-use pop-up 12x12 canopy, materials for second canopy, many educational materials - including slide shows, workshop aids, video projector and screen, and book collection on organic gardening, cooking, repair/DIY projects, renewable energy, climate change and environmental themes.

We will commit volunteer time and funds to develop the project, including mentoring, supplies, a website, planning/hosting workshops, volunteer activities and community outreach --depending on the nature of the project as it evolves. We would like the garden project to have a strong educational component, but are open to multiple models -incl. social entrepreneurship.
